Hmm.

Lately I've taken a hiatus from blogging about the scene lately cause I've sort of fallen off the map with it now that school's taking over, and other commitments.

But damn, I can't NOT keep my mouth shut when it comes to crap like this:

I mean..just really?

There's a point of "hellaflush" and "stanced" but um... these 2 examples are prime examples of "I WANT E-PROPS from Honda-Tech" I'm all for pushing limits and what not, but that S2000 I bet pretty much can't fucking move anywhere (and praise the lord as of this writing he ditched those boo boo ass wheels for something more subtle yet still aggressive, and copped the Amuse R1 front end..maybe a hint of wide to come? We'll see.)

But still, I wonder what happened to the days of the old where people did what THEY wanted to do to their vehicles, not what the internet says to do to fit in.

I hope those days are still around and not long gone like people say they are.

But when in fact, they probably are. If this is the reality of the current game I want no part of this stupid trend, I'll continue to build for me and me only. Screw Honda-Tech and the rest of these "flushed" "stanced" blogs.

I'll build for a magazine feature, not a damn blog.

1.18.10-IFO Houston.

Woke up around 8ish.. showered, headed over to ACC. Drove to Baytown following the purple wave.

Setup the Ikon section, came with 5 cars. Nice sized attendance at this show even with the issues that've occurred with IFO shows being canceled in the past, nonetheless Houston is showing that we aren't dead at all. Full showings from Team Ikon, Sunworks, 16Niss, Nextstage, 5 star and many more.

Definite favorite car of the show was the S15 16Niss brought out, Wayne and his gang always bring the fucking fire for Texas no matter where the show is. Big giant props to Wayne and the 16Niss crew.

Big props to my teammate Tiny for taking Best Paint and Best Under construction with Purple Wave member #1 and his newly refreshed version of 50's old car (yes Tiny, we'll never let it go, sorry. At least I won't)

Marcus also took home best Mitsubishi with Purple Wave #2 and his newly painted Mitsubishi Eclipse sans his custom stereo setup, which it's now back at ATC for having that installed.

Team Ikon also took home best team representation, which is a definite positive way to start the new show season off.

I'll have pictures up tomorrow for sure as they're still getting touched up in Photoshop, so stay tuned for that.

We'll see you at Tuner Lifestyle Houston.

Dallas-Stance of The Union/Nos Energy Nights

Yeahhhhhhhhh I'm super late. But I thought I'd chime in w/ my pov on what it was. School/work>my time

So anyways Harrison and I leave Saturday morning around 1 am.. get to Dallas around 5. Mr PbZ Allan don't wanna answer his phone so I said fuck it and called up our other Dallas teammate Bee.

We sleep, yadda yadda.. head over to Stance of the Union about 3pm (an hour before it ends lol) and I start capturing some pics.

Our teammate Vinh and his bagged IS(and you can see Kevin poking there in the background):

Wrong side the steering wheel is on mang!

Pretty slick old school 3 Series:

Top notch Trunk setup!

Homie Yong was rolling on his BACKUP wheels..a true baller *makes ballin' motion*

Top notch meet it was, rest of my pics are non-existent since I engaged in conversation with people that I knew and before I knew it it was time to go.

After the Stance of the Union meet, NOS Energy nights was next but we had a few hours to kill so Vinh, Bruce, Harrison, myself, Kevin, Tom, Tiny, and Bee went to go grub down on some Crawfish at some joint I forgot the name of but they had azn chicks working there that were super kyoot. lols.

So anyways, on to the NOS energy nights, The guys at 16Niss did a greatttttttttt job putting this together for the people who made the trek to Dallas for HIN (which had been canceled booo) to give us something to look forward to! They even brought the stunning Sharlene Dee all the way from Hawaii (which I didn't get a chance to have a photo taken with her =/ ) but oh well. On to the pics!

GT-R Side by side.. Black and White. Cute.
Allan fooled everyone.. even me. Brought the EG back to life.

Always support your local shops, wrd:

Seeing this Teg made me miss mine x1,000,00o,ooo

Pshhhhhhhhhhh

It was a great meet..after that Harrison, myself, Bee, Sean, Kevin, Tom, Vinh and Bruce headed to the club. and no I don't have pics haha...except this one!

wrd.

Anyways woke up the next morning.. took a few quick snaps of Vinh's car.

After that we headed off to Empire for some Pho, Kid Robot store.. and then home.

All in all great weekend.

Big shout out to Bee for letting Harrison and I crash with him and showing us around. We owe you man!

Decisions, Decisions..HIN 2009 Austin,TX

All Texas import enthusiasts were brought upon with a tough decision, where would they be showing off their cars April 11th, 2009? Two shows fell on the same weekend, in Houston, TX there was the 2nd Import Reactor, in Austin, Texas, the long running Hot Import Nights made its 3rd stop on tour in Austin. Despite the cloudy weather and a little rain, it wasn't enough to stop spectators from forming a line outside the Travis County Expo Center prior to the shows start.

Spectators entering the show grounds were greeted with over 60 of Texas's best show cars from Team Ikon, Team 16Niss, Nextstage, TWC Competition, and Team 210 VQZ. Also, HIN tour models Jenny Chu, Helen Su, and many others were on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos. A motocross exhibition ran throughout the day with riders defying gravity and giving the show goers a great show. DJ Rocky Rock, Cisco Adler, and Schwayze felt right at home on stage thanks to Austin's rich music heritage.

The third stop on the Hot Import Nights tour brought on the first qualifying round of the Formula Drift PRO AM competition which Naughty NOS girl Alicia Whitten played the role of assistant host to!

HIN is always known for giving the fans something unexpected, Austin was no different, with the unlimited class and best of show going to Khamla Seelapasay of Team 16niss and his Nissan Titan, Seelapasay's Titan is the first ever truck to take best of show at a Hot Import Nights event. He will be competing later on this year in Phoenix for the Ultimate Unlimited Title Belt and $15,000 cash. This is sponsored by the National Guard.

Hot Import Nights is back in Texas! So mark your calendars.

9/18/09-09/18/09 Austin, TX - Hot Import Nights/Rivalry Nights (Texas Tech vs. Texas)
10/16/09 Dallas, TX - Hot Import Nights/Rivalry Nights (Texas vs. Oklahoma)
